Today is the birthday of General Robert Edward Lee. He was born on January 19th, 1807 at Stratford Hall Plantation, in Westmoreland, Virginia. The 5th son of Revolutionary War Hero, General Henry "Light Horse Harry" Lee and Anne Hill (nee Carter).
