John T. Monroe, Confederate Mayor of New Orleans, Louisiana, 1861-1862.

John T. Monroe was the 19th Mayor of New Orleans, Louisiana. He took Office on June 18, 1860 and served until May 16th, 1862. He was born on May 6th, 1822 and died on February 24th, 1871. He was married to Rebecca Isadora Shepard (born 1826).
