La Charada China-Cubana, Numbers and Meanings.
The "Charada China Cubana" is a traditional "dream interpretation" number system used in Pre-Castro Cuba. If you had a dream with a specific thing, you would play the number in the Lottery, in whatever combination you think it will come out in (example > if you had a dream with a Horse and a Rooster, you would play 111 or a religious woman and money, you would play 521). Reinaldo Arenas, Quote.
"My name is now, for the moment, Reinaldo Arenas. I am a Cuban Exile living in New York. Well, I write and survive. I am a person here called a Dissident, in every sense of the word. I am not Religious, I am a Homosexual and at the same time I am Anti-Castro. This means that I exemplify all the conditions, to never see a book published and to live outside the margins of every society, anywhere in the world" --
Reinaldo Arenas
