Joseph Emerson Brown, Confederate Governor of Georgia 1861-1865.
Joseph Emerson Brown (born April 15th, 1821-died November 30th, 1894) was elected Govenor of Georgia in 1857 and served until 1865. He held other political office's after the war and is buried at Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia.
