Washington and Lee University 200th Anniversary of Founding, United States Postal Service 3 Cent Stamp, 1949.
The United States Postal Service put out a stamp honoring the 200th Anniversary of the Founding of Washington and Lee University, in 1749. The stamp show's George Washington (Born February 22nd, 1732-died December 14th, 1799), the first President of The United States of America and Robert Edward Lee (born January 19th, 1807-died October 12th, 1870), Commanding General of the Confederate Army, of Northern Virginia.
